Privacy notice
How information from this website is used when you ask us about a project.

Contact us about your information
This website is operated under the name South Coast Web Design. For questions about your enquiry or personal information, email info@southcoastwebdesign.co.uk.
What the enquiry form collects
We collect your name, email address, chosen service and project message. You can also provide a phone number, business name, current website address and preferred consultation date. If you attach a questionnaire plan or choose a pricing package, those details are included with your enquiry. The form also records the page you submitted from and browser information.
Why we use it
We use your details to understand your request, reply, arrange a consultation and prepare a proposal. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, this processing is necessary for those pre-contract steps. For enquiries made on behalf of a business, our legitimate interest is responding to the business request. We also have a legitimate interest in protecting the website against spam and misuse. Sending this form does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Where your enquiry goes
Enquiries are saved in a Cloudflare-hosted database and emailed to the people handling South Coast Web Design enquiries. We use Brevo for customer email receipts. Hosting and email providers process the information needed to provide these services; our enquiry form does not sell or publish your details.
These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Their published data-processing terms describe safeguards for international transfers, including contractual protections where applicable. See Cloudflare's data-processing terms and Brevo's data-protection information. Contact us if you need further information about the arrangements applying to your enquiry.
The website questionnaire
Your answers and package selection stay in the current browser session's page memory until you submit the enquiry. They are not saved in cookies or local storage by the questionnaire, and refreshing the page clears that selection. The suggested plan is a starting point for discussion, not an automated decision about eligibility or a binding quote.
How long information is kept
We keep an open enquiry while discussing your requirements and following up the proposal. Once an enquiry closes, retention depends on whether information is still needed for an agreed project, a dispute or a legal record-keeping obligation. Information that is no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted or anonymised, including enquiry records and email copies. You can contact us to ask about your record or request deletion; there is no automatic deletion timer attached to the form.
Your choices and rights
You can ask about access to your information, corrections or deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to receive a portable copy. Contact us using the email above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and technical information
The questionnaire does not add tracking cookies or store its answers in your browser's local storage. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect the website.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to learn which pages people visit and how they use the site. Google may receive details about the pages you view and your device. It may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_*. These can last up to two years. We do not load Google Analytics before you accept.
Your analytics choice is saved in this browser for six months. Use the Cookie settings button to change it at any time. If you reject analytics after accepting, we stop further measurement and remove the Google Analytics cookies we can access in this browser. For more information, see Google's cookie information.
Providing information and keeping it safe
We need enough information to reply and understand your enquiry. Optional fields can be left blank. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in your message. Access to enquiries is intended for the people handling your request and the service providers supporting that process.
